Al Fracassa

One of the great high school football coaches of his time at Royal Oak Shrine (1960-68) and Birmingham Brother Rice (1969-present). At the time of his induction his record stood at 280 wins, 72 losses, 7 ties, a .758 winning percentage. His Brother Rice teams won five State Championships (1974, '77, '80, '83, '90) and nine Catholic League titles (1963, '71, '74, '77, '78, '80, '83, '86). Many of his players went on to play college football and in the NFL. He was named the High School Coach of the Year by the National football League in 1997. Inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in 1999.
