Ray Lane

A fixture in Michigan sportscasting for almost four decades, a rare accomplishment in sportscasting, Lane has served as the voice of the Tigers, Lions, Pistons, University of Michigan and Michigan State University football and University of Detroit basketball. He was the Cincinnati Reds' television announcer for six years. He hosted Pistons', Tigers', LIons' pre-game shows and at the time of induction is the Red Wings' between-periods interviewer. He served as Sports Anchor at WKBD-TV and sports Director at WJBK-TV. He has been named "Michigan Sportscaster of the Year" and been honored for outstanding service to the community. Inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in 1997.
