JIMMY DEVELLANO
In his first draft with the Wings, he selected Steve Yzerman who would become the cornerstone of the franchise. During his tenure, the Wings have gone to 7 conference finals and 4 Stanley Cup finals-winning in 1997, 98 and 02.
DAVE DILES
During his 20-plus years at ABC he covered pro bowling, track & field, the Indy 500, the Olympics and even hosted the Wide World of Sports. He also was a longtime sports anchor and director at Detroit's WXYZ-TV Channel 7.
EVERETT "SONNY" GRANDELIUS
As an All-state running back at Muskegon Heights High School, he led his squad to three state championships. As a back for MSU, he earned All-American honors and went on to star with the New York Giants.

GREGORY KELSER
After attending high school at Henry Ford in Detroit, he went on to college at Michigan State University where he was a member of the Spartan team that won the 1979 NCAA Men's Championship along with teammate Magic Johnson.
DIANE LAFFEY
As a head coach at Regina High School, she is the State of Michigan's all-time winningest coach in girls' basketball and softball, and was inducted into the National High School Sports Hall of Fame.
DAN MAJERLE
After attending Central Michigan University, we was drafted #14 overall by the Phoenix Suns in the 1988 draft. He played 14 years for the Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat.
JACK McCLOSKEY
After being named Pistons GM in 1979, he drafted Isiah Thomas and Kelly Tripucka and traded for Bill Laimbeer and Vinnie Johnson. The team would go on to be the most successful in the history of the Pistons.
FRANK TANANA
After starring at Detroit Catholic Central, Tanana's major league career spanned from 1973-1993 while playing for the Angels, Red Sox, Rangers, Tigers, Mets and Yankees. In 1975, he struck out 17 batters for the Rangers.
