New Home for the Hall of Fame The Michigan Sports Hall of Fame will be developing a new home, promoting Michigan athletes and Michigan sports. The new home will focus on education, including permanent, seasonal and rotating exhibits honoring athletic achievements in all areas of sports endeavors from amateur and professional to high school and collegiate. A strong venue of activities and experiences will enhance the entertainment and educational value. Communication and media arts will be used to create a varied experience for the visitor. Interactive, audio, video and computer technology along with photos, graphics, color and shape will be employed in all areas. Sponsorship is a significant requirement in the building of the facility. It is anticipated the Hall of Fame will be located in the heart of Detroit, taking advantage of accelerated planning in areas of sports and theater entertainment.
